

Ash Sharma is the Senior Research Director for IMS Research’s PV Research Group overseeing the entire group’s activities in this field and leading a team of analysts based in the UK, US and China. Ash has been involved in research for more than 10 years and joined IMS Research in 2004, being an active commentator on the industry since then. He was responsible for establishing IMS Research's PV Research Group in early 2006 and growing the team to 15 people currently. Whilst his initial expertise in PV was founded in the inverter market, by publishing the industry's first and leading intelligence report on this industry, he leads the group's efforts in researching every part of the PV supply chain. Ash is now a well-known speaker and industry expert within the PV field.
Aside from covering all aspects of the PV supply chain, Ash has also been responsible for leading IMS Research's Power & Energy Research Group which covers almost every segment of the power electronics industry, including power generation, power conversion, control and management. Ash has in the past been heavily involved in the power supply and power semiconductor areas, having authored several syndicated research reports and is a well-known figure within the power electronics sector, regularly publishing articles and editorials.
Ash has been involved in the research industry for more than 10 years; prior to joining IMS Research, Ash was employed by a London-based research firm, where he spent several years researching state-of-the-art electronics equipment, with clients including many of world's largest multi-national electronics suppliers.

Sam Wilkinson is a senior analyst within the PV group. During his time working within the group, Sam has been heavily involved in researching the polysilicon to module supply chain, working closely with leading global suppliers to develop detailed research on these markets. More recently, Sam has also been responsible for establishing primary research reports and benchmarking services for global system integrators and EPCs, expanding IMS Research’s extensive coverage of the PV industry further.
Before beginning his career at IMS Research, Sam worked as a structural engineer for one of Europe’s leading engineering firms. During this time he worked with leading companies in the construction industry on designs for some of the country’s most recognised landmarks.

Frank Xie is a senior analyst based in IMS Research’s China offices. Prior to joining IMS Research, Frank worked as an industry research and business development manager in a major Chinese chemicals company for one year. Before that, Frank worked as an industry research manager at Frost & Sullivan for five years. Having built his insights into various industry sectors such as biofuels, petrochemicals, adhesives and coatings, Frank completed dozens of syndicated research reports and customized projects.
Frank holds a BA degree in Medical English from West China Medical Centre of Sichuan University (former West China University of Medical Sciences, a church university founded in the 1920s). Tim Dawson is Senior Research Director of IMS Research’s Industrial Automation Group and is the lead analyst for its extensive PV manufacturing equipment coverage. Tim has been with the company since 2000, and has produced a broad range of custom and syndicated commercial research projects, covering a wide range of industrial electronic component and end-equipment markets. Over the years, Tim has also developed IMS Research's portfolio of discrete and process related market reports, and is a regular speaker at industry events, tradeshows and conferences worldwide.
Tim is now responsible for developing the company's machinery research portfolio, with a distinct focus on PV manufacturing equipment.

Matthew graduated with a Masters in electrical and electronic engineering from Nottingham University in the UK. He started his career at Texas Instruments where he worked in various semiconductor sales and marketing positions.
Jessica Jin is a market analyst based in IMS Research’s PV Group in China and is focused on expanding the company's comprehensive research in this important market.
Before joining IMS Research’s PV Group, Jessica worked for more than 3 years at another global market research firm focusing on the solar PV supply chain, with a particular focus on the PV cell, module and polysilicon markets.
